Exploring Statesboro's Soyumi Asian Kitchen- Asian Cuisine with a Southern Twist!

... and indeed, Soyumi definitely lives up to its reputation. Since 2017, it's been a go-to spot for folks in Statesboro. With an extensive food and bar menu, in just under a decade, Soyumi has racked up many awards, like 'Best of the Boro' 2023, 'Reader's Choice' 2023, and 'Best of Georgia' 2021.

Soyumi serves soup, salad, wings, tapas, tacos, desserts, and much more! However, they are best known for their unique sushi rolls.

And it's not just about the food; Soyumi's been embracing Georgia Southern culture too. Beau Johnson, our own team member AND our own #11 on the GSU football team, teamed up with Soyumi to create something special: Korean Fried Chicken with a twist—topped with a creamy Caribbean Jerk Sauce. It's like a cultural mashup in a dish, a fresh take on southern classics.

Owner Adam Tsang sums it up, saying,
